It is trained to be less sensitive to various sources of false positives, such as the sun, clouds, lights at night, etc., so you can focus on what’s important.

It has been specifically trained to distinguish between smoke and fog with a 98.5% accuracy rate to reduce false alarms.
The system is vision-based, eliminating the need for regular and lengthy turnarounds as with traditional sensors. A quick and effective detection of hazardous situations from a distance is possible due to computer vision and AI. Because of this improved accuracy of the fire detection system, it can be installed both inside and outside, and it can spot fire at its earliest stage better than traditional sensors.
The maximal smoke detection distance typically depends on many factors, such as camera resolution, amount of visible smoke, illumination, etc. In general, the detection is more reliable if the event instance takes up more than 5% of the height of the frame.
The ability to detect smoke from a cigarette (or any other object) depends on the size of the smoke instance in relation to the camera’s view, which is influenced by the distance between the camera and the smoke source. If the person smoking is close to the camera, and the smoke from the cigarette occupies more than 5% of the camera’s field of view, then the system will be able to detect the smoke.
